Team Strike Out record is Down- the final tally

Postby CHRISTIANSTOUGH » Tue Jul 18, 2006 12:36 am

1355- 15 over the record and counting

I have entered the Halls of Strato Glory.

12 games to add to the lead.

I'll never do it again. Much rather play to win.

All I need is a ring and I'll shrug off this rookie coil.

Untill then, this will have to do.

Sorry, but for the two people who are actually interested, i'll post once more with the final tally.

Thanks to all who have endured this self-indulgent thread.

This may have been a lark, but I think you've hit upon an interesting formula. I'm definitely going to think about high strikeout pitchers for hitter's parks in the future.

You're 85-65 and in first place. Why not do it again???

Congrats on your first successful accomplishment in ATG III. Maybe you'll even make the playoffs!

I've got that playoff thing down, just can't make it past the first round. (sorry, didn't mean to rhyme).

Playoff team four will meet it's demise tomorrow.

Well, I might, power is fun on both sides, I'm just obsessed with my small ball dudes. (especially with III coming out)

Making a team that rocks and has no HR hitters, or any player above 10 million is my current obsession.
I don't think I'm good enough yet to pull it off, but I'm working on it.

On the other hand, this K thing did seem to baffle the opponents, those K's snuffed those big rallies out.

My hitting lineup was a joke, take away my high dollar pen and stigman starting every ten days and this team could have done really well.

I'm not optimistic about it's chances getting in or winning in the playoffs.

I guess I'll be coming back to this team when I get some perspective; it was just so darn heart wrenching to drop the players I did (like Willie Mays) and ignore so many good players on the wire to go for this record.
No offense to my league opponents, but I felt like I could have done VERY well in this league had I built to win. It was one of those times when I felt I was in the zone.

Now, I'm just happy they went over .500. I was worried they'd lose 90

I would love to build some good Fenway '67 teams; but I don't think I'm up to the challenge, .....yet.

Hey fluffyman, have the playoffs started for this team? If so, how is it doing?

The home record was terrible compared to the road;

44-37 at home; 50-31 on the road

They are currently plaing game 5 in the div playoffs vs. a very tough team (Las Vegas Losers)

Koufax is at home(gulp) vs. Hughson
