How about uping the salary cap

With all the new players and their salaries, Yea we got our first .400 hitter in Sisler with what about a 14mil plus price tag, he has to cost more than Hornsby. I just hate seeing all these great players not used because they take up so much of you cap space. How about upping the standard leagues to 100M so we can see more of these players used.

The pricing is aimed at 80 mil leagues. If standard is raised to 100 mil then all the prices would go up accordingly. And where do you go for a league that is slightly more star laiden? It does not matter if you have a .400 hitter and an all .300 hitting lineup if everyone else does too. The idea of the pricing structure is to force you to make decisions. The 100 mil league is there as an option for those who want more high priced allstar looking lineups.

Alternatively the 80M leagues could be specialized options. Perhaps a compromise, 90M for the default league setting.

I agree with Valen. There are $100, $200 and other theme leagues that are set up to use all the stars. The $80 million forces you to make choices in the face of short funds, to use all types of players, not just a team full of stars.

I would be very disappointed if the base salary cap was changed.

The reason some guys are not often used currently is nothing more than 'fashion.' The current fashion is small ball teams; so guys fitting on those teams are hard to get. If someone posted several times that they had won over and over using Mickey Mantle, for example, he'd be impossible to get.

I regularly use Mantle in 60M leagues. And I've been successful. The problem with guys like Ted Williams isn't that he costs a lot of $, it's that he isn't really priced to sell. So he doesn't get used much.
