ATG III-Pre-card leagues - (2 full, third is filling)

Postby Munich_Man » Tue Jul 25, 2006 12:11 pm

I like the idea as well, and I agree with Trey. I originally thought that we would have to see the prices for the new players before we decided 80 or 100, but on 2nd thought, since we are drafting one team, I think we should go with 80, since we will only have one team to form the core of the team.

Another problem with limiting the $$ for ATGII players will be the $$ size of the rosters. If the 78 Yanks payroll is 75 mil and the 70 Cubs is only 65 million, the extra will have to be taken into consideration.

Good point Munich Man and Trey.
I was just thinking if we all have an entire team and then draft 10 players to supplement your team using players from the rest of the new teams, I'm not so sure we need to have too many ATGII players (if any) or we should limit the number to 3 or 5 ATGII players.

Any more opinions from the league 2 group?

My preference is to draft a new team and use the undrafted new teams players only. 80M cap works for me.

For league 2... I support "new players only"... one full team and then whatever number of rounds is needed to draft remaining NEW players.

I'd really rather NOT even have any ATG-3 guys if mathematically possible. If any ATG-2 players are needed, we should make it both a limit on the number of players (2?, 3? per team) and the salary (max 2M, 3M?) to be sure that it's only by necessity.

I don't think we have a go-to guy for league 2, so let's just call it as we've recently discussed here. Vocal majority.

Then I can start deciding what to do with my #6 pick.

I'm good with new teams only.

By the way, I call Sisler.
