BJ -

Love the team page pics. It loads much easier now with just the one picture rather than wallpaper effect. Thanks for your work on this.

Good shot BJ.....This is VERY NICE......

Adding the baseball card shots almost personalizes the teams and brings them to life.

Wow we DO have talent here....You're the artist, I'm the poet what other hidden skills are out there???

[quote:836e459886]Sweet!!! Great job, BJ. Where'd you find all the pics from? And how much is all this gonna cost me????[/quote:836e459886]

Albert - you'll be getting an electronic invoice shortly.

Naw - I'm having a little fun with it, I'm glad everyone likes it. Now that I have a basic structure, I can probably knock off 1 or 2 / day. The pictures are something I downloaded from the internet. There is a website where there are all kinds of photos of players so that you can import them into your Strat-O CD rom game. Thousands and thousands of photos.

I wanted to put D. Strawberry and D. Gooden on the Mets page but he only photos I have of them are in LAN and NYA uniforms respectively.

I agree. It makes it fun. That Dave Parker picture is a classic, isn't it? I like the Tekulve and Candeleria pictures too.

Thanks BJ, some great pics :D . One minor trade slipped under the radar.

I traded Billy Swift to RR for Jamie Quirk.

BJ,

awesome job with the website. You are incredible. You should find a way to make some money with your talent!

I love the picture of Rocket Roger. I'm sure YF printed Wade Boggs' picture and taped it to the ceiling above his bed

thanks again,

Sean

Unless I'm mistaken??? Billy Swift isn't even eligible until 1985???

I show Swift's career span to be 1985-1990. I believe that is the case and if so, then that would be an invalid trade. BC Manager or YountFan can confirm this???

I think I missed it because it was unannounced. I usually don't frequent the transaction links in leagues.

Now with this type of league in place, I'm going to need everyone to announce their trades via the Transaction Thread on the forum. It will be easier for me to track and to maintain accuracy.

League Website in Beta

Postby bjs73 » Sun Jul 30, 2006 9:24 pm

I mostly have the website setup the way I want it too. Some of my colors didn't quite pan out the way I wanted them to but they aren't critical.

I did a mass upload to the website and the rosters should be accurate except for the Swift for Quirk deal mentioned in the post above.

I spent some time checking links to make sure they worked correctly but there is always something that I could miss. Please report issues and broken links here in this thread and I'll tend to it.

I put links on everyone's pages so site navigation should be pretty easy going. I hope everyone enjoys it and I hope that it creates a little excitement/nostalgia when playing the decade league.

*****
Please note: I will be moving the website to a new server sometime in the next 2-4 weeks. I have a new site with a larger capacity. I'm having technical difficulties with the site right now so I don't want to move the league there yet.

When I do, I'll post a new link pointing to its new home. At that time, I'll have everyone browse around the new site to make sure that it is accessible to them.

Gracias! And let's make some trades!
