Opinions on Mayer

Has anybody ever used Erskine Mayer in your league before? How did he perform for you? I have him in my 80 mil league and I'm playing in Yankee Stadium '56. I had him in my last league and he didn't acquit himslef very well. I'm trying to decide on how hard I should try to trade him for a similar priced player. Your opinions are welcome.

Mayer is fine, but at Yankee 56 there are better values, Carlton, Seaver of course, Sutton, Kaat, Lonborg. You can get the same numbers, but save $1.5M.

I have had pretty good luck with Mayer. Have used him primarily in parks that lean towards hitters (like Municipal or Briggs) but aren't extreme. For the price I thing he is reasonable choice.
