Post Season Begins!

Postby Jack377 » Mon Aug 28, 2006 3:55 pm

The Smile ([b:d2612f156c]Bobby[/b:d2612f156c]), Cogs ([b:d2612f156c]JCMoney[/b:d2612f156c]), Nine ([b:d2612f156c]Splinter[/b:d2612f156c]), and Blues ([b:d2612f156c]Jack[/b:d2612f156c]) will start the playoffs tonight after perhaps the most closely fought season in the history of TSN SOM--every team in the league was within 4 games of the playoffs with 6 to play...

Mark Teixeira (.315, 44, 120) and CC Sabathia (24-11, 2.81), both of JCMoney's Cogswell Cogs, took MVP and Cy Young honors while Everyday Eddie Guardado (5-1, 33/41, 1.54) of [b:d2612f156c]johnps[/b:d2612f156c]' Talladega Nights took home the Fireman of the Year Award.

Hideki Matsui (Smile) won the Batting Title with a .333 average and stroked 220 Hits and 55 2Bs to lead the league in those categories as well...Andruw Jones (Blues) smacked 52 HRs and Manny Ramirez ([b:d2612f156c]NaturalDoc's Wonderboys[/b:d2612f156c]) drove in 122 to lead the league.

Stay tuned!

The Blues Win It!

Postby Jack377 » Sun Sep 03, 2006 7:19 am

The [b:d80f125b94]Commish[/b:d80f125b94]'s own Folsom Prison Blues rode great pitching and a wave of injuries to [b:d80f125b94]Splinter[/b:d80f125b94]'s Canton Cut Rate Nine to take the finals 4 games to 1...

The Blues recorded a 7-1 record and a 1.90 ERA in the postseason, despite a 7-5 loss by Brad Penny in Game 4 of the Finals.

The Cut Rate Nine lost Jeff Francouer and Jose Guillen for parts or all of the Finals, making it a bit tough for them to score.

On to round 3...
