Being a Red Sox fan, I'm hoping for a 75-79 Red Sox representative too. 1978's team is the one everyone remembers, and I know it won't happen because of an out-of-the-money 3rd place finish to Baltimore & the Brewers, but i'd rather see 1979's Red Sox team. Eckersely's '79 stats were just a strong as '78's, and i'm sure Yaz's '67 year will be used, but one of my greatest remembrances from that time frame was Fred Lynn's & Jim Rice's great numbers all season. Rice was only slightly better in '78 than '79, but Fred Lynn was my favorite player from my childhood. Looking at his career, 1979 was a little bit of an outlier for Fred, but his '79 would give us another strong CF option. I know that it won't happen, but it was fun to reminisce :D

Being a White Sox fan I would have liked to see another team than the '55 club . '93 would be a good year . The '78 Bosox would be a good team . Jim Rice is not represented well in ATGII . He was one of those guys who wasn't on your favorite team but watched him put up fantastic numbers . Lynn would be a great addition . Fisk , Eck,Tiant and others . I think it would be a good choice . If we get this team , help me get the '93 White Sox in ! :D 8) :D

Being a Tiger fan the first year I followed was the 1961 team which was led by Norm Cash 361 batting and the home run power of Rocky Colavito and Al Kaline with the Pitching Of The Yankee killer Frank Lary, Jim Bunning and Don Mossi with Terry Fox heading the bullpen

If you want some pitching, howzabout the 1964 White Sox? Gary Peters, Juan Pizarro, Joel Horlen and Hoyt Wilhelm.

Add in the 1961 Tigers, the 1987 Minnesota Twins, and
(drum roll)

the 1969 Washington Senators.

Not for Frank Howard. It's all about getting Dick Bosman into the game...

Free Rad, why not the 36 Sox for a great Luke Appling card? There has not been a major shortstop added.

Here is a nice wishlist. Kirby Puckett, Arky Vaughn, Gabby Hartnett, Ralph Kiner, Carlton Fisk, Rocky Colavito, Luke Appling, Rube Waddell.

I got Dick Allen today, how about that!

I still think we're due another 30's, 40's or 50's team. I would like to see the 78/79 Bosox as well

The '61 Tigers
The '64 White Sox

If these two get in I'm happy.

We need some pitching teams. Otherwise Bernie hasn't done that badly.

'88 Twins are the best of the Puckett teams. The '87 World Champions actually had a pythagorean losing season.

Still would love to see the '70 Twins. Great team.

I think Puckett is coming yet . From prior posts from Bernie and deduction I think a Twins -Puckett team is on the way . I would like the '64 Sox too. They had alot of 2nd finishes in the '60 . I'd like to see Monty Stratton in the deck too.

Yep, I think it will be a Twins/Bosox for post 61.

I'd love ot see the 73 Braves/80 Astros from a card perspective

From a fan pespective I'd like to see the 76 Mets or 71 Giants, mainly for Kingman.

The 1976 A's

Love to see Ruth as a pitcher.
