2006 Pre Card League - Draft Page

Woody5 brought up a good point to me when he said that I should lay down some ground rules before we get started. It gets pretty stupid at this stage of the game when you're selecting the mid level guys much past round 11 or 12. So this will be a 12 round draft. This also allows for some customization when it comes to the auto draft once 06 arrives. We'll go with a 100 million league as long as that's still an option which I'm pretty sure it will be. Woody brought up the idea of a 24 hour clock. I'm willing to entertain the idea of a 48 hour clock. I disagree with any clock seeing as to the fact we have 5 months but I don't want people to get frustrated and lose interest if they haven't picked for a week or two.

So... to sum up the rules:
* 12 round draft followed by and autodraft for remainder players.
* MUST have live drafted players on Autodraft sheet.
* 100 million league

Any other rule suggestions?

I know I was the same way with A-Rod... just think 1st base is a deeper position.

You're right, Chuckul...Lee was tempting but, in the end, I had visions of the '04 Pujols...very similar card and doesn't seem to be a difference maker in the leagues I'm in. Still a very tough to skip though...100 extra base hits and a .335 average... :shock:

Another thing I like about A-Rod (in strat :twisted:) is that early in the season I'm almost positive he played an inning or two from the shortstop position. He'll be able to play there too. Finally he'll play every game. He was in all 162 games... no injury roll.
