Jim Rice will do very well in a hitters park, and better vs RHs. He cannot be hurt, which is nice. He is a LF/RF 3 (0) e4/CF 4 e4. Running is 1-14. Bunting/H & R is D. Stealing 4,5/12 (13-6) His card setup:

Well, I'm not that impressed with some of these selections. A lot of fifth place teams...

But the bottom line is, tomorrow will be a happy, happy day in Stratland. Not only will we have all these new players, and probably repriced old ones, but a ton of new parks.

PLUS the 200X innovations, which you guys are going to LOVE.

I feel like a little kid on Xmas eve.

On the 78 Red Sox, Lynn & Remy will be best used as part of a platoon. Lynn hits RHs pretty well, and is a CF 1 (-2) e8. Remy is decent defensively, 2b 2 e16, and not bad as a #2 hitter vs RHs, A bunter, good stealer. Burleson joins Bowa as a slick fielding, little hit SS. Evans won't hit for average or OBP, but will pop a few HRs and is a RF 1 (-5) e7. Fisk is a 3 game injury catcher, good defensively. Offensively, he will be average. Some pop, but average otherwise. Neither him or Thurman will replace the current ATG catcher elite, but depending on their salaries, could be decent. But still, nice to have them represented in the ATG3 game. :)

I would love to see the 1894 Baltimore Orioles with Wee Willie Keeler, John McGraw, Joe Kelley, and Kid Gleason.

61 tigers should be in the mix, also how about an indian team with the rock, would have loved to see an indian 68 team just for a great tiant season. 60 bucs would be a good team also, looks like there will be plenty left for a 4th season.

Looking bleak for Puck.Been a good way to honor a recently fallen hero but oh well.We definitely needed the 86 Yankees instead of the 87 Twins(dripping w/sarcasm).

What about the 77 Phils being replaced with the 80 phils?

For all the hype about the 200X features and functions, what I'd really prefer is to get more control and more access to statistics. What they gave you all with 2006 pales in comparison to what is possible. Most of the players here are all very familiar with the computer game and what can be done with it, and the vast majority of that has yet to be included in any of the online games.

Personally, I'm rabidly looking forward to the new cards and ballparks, and I'll be eager to see the new features, but my vision for the future still centers around more manager/player control, more league control, and more access to statistics beyond the basics.

One thing I'm surprised is not part of the ATG feature list is the home/road splits, which surprisingly do appear on the 80s feature list (one of the only things "we" have that "you" don't). With the diverse ballparks in ATG, I would think this kind of information would be extraordinarily useful (how is Kid Speer pitching at home vs. on the road?). Is this part of the 200X features?

2006 it is part of it and it does come in handy . I think Bernie and the gang are going to do a bang up job with the new game . They've had 2+ years of us cryin, whinin, and be-itchin about what we wanted . Now we'll see if they listened . Which I think they have .
