New ATG 80's managers -AD Tonight!!

With the new ATGIII coming out this week with lots of new modern teams, I thought this would be a great and fun opportunity for some 80's managers to give ATG a try and check out the new players.

Based on an idea from Jablowmi, here is my thought for how to set it up, if you have other ideas, please let me know, it can be flexible.

New Teams only!

1. $80 million, DH league
2. 4 round draft, followed by autodraft and waivers.
3. The first round would be for a team, you would get all the players listed for that team under your rights and you could use them or trade them.
4. the remaining 3 rounds would be for individual players from the undrafted teams. The draft would be the reverse of the original draft order in all three rounds, i.e. 12-1, 12-1, and 12-1, not serpentine.
5. All undrafted players from undrafted teams are free to all.
6. You must use the stadium of your team from the team draft.

Only cards from the new teams can be used, no old cards may be included. So if you draft a team where a player has been left off because they appear on a current ATG team, then they are not included on your team.

I think that covers everything. If you are interested, pleae sign up, the sooner we can start the better. If you have any ideas to change the rules, post them and we'll figure it out.

I assume this will be waivers instead of frenzy. I am out if it is frenzy.

After the AD our teams will have a few ATG2 players for the players we miss out on most likely. These will have to be determined and dropped for "new" players ASAP.

Gonna give this a maybe right now. WAY TOO much going on in the office right now to enjoy the new product today and draft players.

I'd like to give this a maybe as well. I am new to the 80's and am not sure I understand all of the stipulations - which teams are new? I'm a Reds fan . . . right now, only 1955 is available, do you think one of the last two slots will be filled in with a replacement for 1976? Thanks. I am from California, btw.

Ragnarok69, the teams listed above are new, plus the '34 NY Giants and '50 NY Yankees. Have you played ATG?

Actually Ragnarok, even though this is the 80s posting board, the league being proposed is for the ATGIII new game that comes out over the next few days.
