Eliminate the bleeping tie breakers!!!!!!!!!!!

I find your team very interesting in what you were able to accomplish. The productivity gotten out of the hitters is truly amazing. However your relieving situation resulted in your demise. You got very little production for 12.43 million in relief help. Saves and wins out of the pen are meaningless, it is the number of losses your pen has that counts most. Even on my worst bullpens with cheap relieving do I very rarely lose 23 games out of the pen, which is a severe disappoinment with such great starters.

Now had this team made the playoffs you would have had a great chance in the first go round as fatigue would not be an issue for your 2 stud relievers, however I can't help feeling that 2-3 million and one four million dollar relievers with the leftover 2.43 million allocated to upgrade Schumacher would have resulted in a much better result. The team ERA should be at least .25 lower which would have resulted in 41 fewer runs given up.

Not going after any records. Don't want to waste the money :P

Yes, I agree that weighted waivers are also important. Have gotten burned there many of times like not getting picks 1 - 5 but ending up with 9 - 12th pick in waiver draft. See on other boards of people posting about weighted waivers and no effort on TSNs part to do so makes it seem it will never occur.

Wow, Leo respects me!!!! :D Wonder when he gets my name right?

The problem with a one game playoff - what if 3 teams tie for the wildcard? What if 4 teams in 2 divisions all have the same record? I, too, would prefer a one game playoff, but the possibility, albeit slight, of requiring more than one single game is another deterrent to setting that up.

Charlie - if you don't like Assman's team, you would REALLY hate this Barnstormer squad.

If more than 2 teams then follow major league base rules. I know, I know what a concept following the rules from the real life league that produces the players we are using.

Treyomo's Team

But in general I root against that strategy because with the hitters in our leagues it really should not work, so I hate to see it work. However you are using "R" pitchers not "S" to make it happen and anyone can use that strategy so it does not send such a chill down my spine. I will watch this team and see how it does as the year goes on, with the poor defense I'll be surprised if those pitchers hold up.

A good core of hitters tho....

Have to see if I get any more credits to decide what my future holds here. Just made my first '05 Finals so guess I'll bank that credit for next year. Other than that who knows?

Looking over the 69 cards going to be interesting seeing all the teams win with no 1s at SS and the only 2nd base 1 can't get on base to save his life on the other hand he can't get injured either.

...just so you know, your team missed the Wild Card by one game, the two teams that finished ahead of me are playing in the Finals now.

I like the tiebreaker system. :D

In the event of a tie, the winner over a 24-game season series should make the playoffs rather than the winner of a one-game playoff. As we all know, the winner of any one game is practically as random as a coin flip. Furthermore, in a close race I enjoy keeping track of my record vs division opponents so I know whether I can simply tie for the division lead or have to win by a game.

As for the second tiebreaker, I also feel that run differential over a 162-game season is far more indicative of the superior team rather than a one playoff game. In fact, that may be the best tiebreaker of all. :)
