BTW, I have a question.
In case I make a two for 1 trade and i end up with 39, does that mean that in the coming draft before the next years' set I get to pick one without dropping anyone?
So then:

Hence, why I alluded to the problem of lopsided trades earlier regarding paperwork for moi.
Imo, teams that choose to go with less than 40 will stay at that number until they make a deal that will give them extra players, otherwise teams might be inclined to make 5 for 1 deals prior to an upcoming draft in order to gain more draft picks.
This would be a violation of ethics imo.
I will permit teams to operate with LESS than 40 players, but until they get their numbers up by making a trade where they get more players than they traded for, that new lower number will become their new and current roster size otherwise.
I don't know how else to prevent teams from dumping just to gain draft picks. :?

That was my intention all along until the rash of uneven trades this past week while I was working caught me napping so to speak.
We had enforced that previously, esp. in this league.
Unfortunately, I do not how to go backwards now so the above seems to be the best compromise.
This is EXACTLY why I thought ALL trades NEEDED to be even -- for this very reason. :?
I have no problem keeping the books straight -- that's what spreadsheets are for -- but you are right when you say it would have been simpler to keep things even.
However, we have cases where people traded FA picks the following year which I think is great and I would not want to discourage that. Again, I caution there that it will mean that the other team will be playing a man short the following year then (if everything else remains unchanged).
