But didn't Larry Bowa play for th '84 Cubs? He isn't listed on the roster on ATG III.

a number of players played for more than one team that is included in ATG. Bowa is on the '77 Phillies, and can't be on both because that would cause a rift in the space-time continuum.
I think they should take the players that are on more than one team, list them as both, and you get a mystery card result. That would be fun.
