enough about the Salaries - HERE'S THE REAL CONSPIRACY!!!

I just drafted a 100 million team and Ted Williams, George Brett, Sandy Koufax and a bunch of other studs are still untouched. It's a frenzy league, so its not like nobody had a chance to take them yet. There are SO MANY PLAYERS its totally stupid. Why even draft...?

I sure hope we start to see some enthusiasm for the smaller 35 team sets. For me, the big thrill of strat-o-matic is the draft and to make it exciting, you've got to have some competition for players. It's nice to have 1500 players available to use, but all in one league? ...Forget about it!

Expect to see things this way until folks get a chance to try out the newer players and/or players they were never lucky enough to get.

In 2 months, the theme leagues and narrowed player pools will be more the norm.

Good point. I might actually play a league or two with a highly restricted player set. Also, how does the drop/add penalty customization work? That would possibly be another factor in getting me in at least one league just to try it out.

What we have now is a lot of tools to craft the teams we like. I think it will be better and still expect skill to pay off in the long run.
