Perfect Game for....Steve Parris?

PostSat Aug 02, 2025 1:18 pm

In perhaps the unlikeliest Perfect Game in 365 history, Steve Parris retired all 27 batters he faced in a road win against the league’s best team and #3 offense. Even more remarkable is the perfecto happened in a normal 80M, DH, 12-team 1999 league. Parris, who’s ERA was 6.86 entering the game, struck out 11 on just 108 pitches. His record improved to 6-9

The performance might've been even more improbable than Philip Humber's real-life 2012 Perfecto (Humber would be placed on waivers after the season)

You had a very close call at losing not only the perfecto, but the shutout in the bottom of the 6th inning, when Russ Davis flied out on a HR 1-18 reading.
