Perconte has an excellent style and manner that kids just seem to love. Dads like me like his stories about Tommy Lasorda, his one-time roommate, Ron Roenicke, and others...along with his instructional style.

I remember back in the early 1980's thinking that Perconte would be the next Dodger second baseman. He was doing well at AAA and he always played hard and hustled. Steve Sax was at AA but got called up ahead of Perconte. It's nice to hear that he's a good guy.
