Roger McDowell 1986 Card reads, "relief(3)/N" He had 22 saves in '86. Does anyone know what the "N" stand for?

It stands for "non-closer" even though it's incorrect. I think every RP in 1986 is listed that way. I have no idea if that affects their performance in a save situation; maybe someone else has some insight on this?
