2012 Set/Draft Strategy

PostThu Feb 21, 2013 11:32 am

My question kind of comes in two parts:

1) In doing any baseball league, purchasing the ratings book is essential, in my opinion. Does any player stand out to anyone, if you've had a chance to look through the book yet? (Obviously, aside from Trout/Cabrera).
2) If anyone who has experience with that online Strato may answer this one: If you have to do a league where you really not able to do the live draft (work schedule), and you have to do the auto pick where you prioritize a draft list, then do you think it's better than try to shoot for a Trout/Cabrera or a Kemp from 2011...knowing you'd have to land at least a Top 3 pick to have a shot at them. Or is it better to try for a player at the lower end of the Top 10, knowing you'd have a better chance to land them to have a better chance to land the player you want and follow your own draft strategy?

I know that could be a lot to digest. If anyone has any thoughts on this I'd love to hear feedback. Thanks.
