I agree with Ric. While the managers who overdrafted obviously hurt themselves, one of the unintended and mostly overlooked consequences of overdrafting is that it deprives other managers who were within the cap of the opportunity to draft those players during the Diamond Dope draft. Further, it does not affect everyone equally, as not all teams have the same needs.

Now everyone will have to scramble during the frenzy to try to get a player they may otherwise have drafted. There's no real remedy other than to move on, as a redraft would be time consuming and problematic now that managers' draft strategy has been revealed. I like Dennis' idea of having the managers post their changes here, but that's where the herding cats analogy applies, as no teams posted the changes and other managers didn't wait around for those unposted changes anyway before entering their teams.

We all make mistakes. Hopefully, they don't get repeated.

Before jumping to conclusions about those managers (or insulting anyone... I can't think of too many things worse than a cat), I apologize about the mistake. I didn't post any drops because I simply downsized my players to get under the limit. Didn't think I needed to post that since it didn't impact any teams and wouldn't change what was available prior to the loading of teams.

Yeah, I ended up drafting the $5.25 Vaughan and $2.79 Gentile so I could fill out my team.

And I thought posting those players I had to drop to make the $110 cap which I mistakenly thought was $140 would throw a whole bunch of confusion at the 8 or 9 teams that had already entered a team by the time I did, and would give an unfair advantage to those remaining who hadn't posted a team yet. If I could read, I'd be dangerous guys. Please accept my apologies for any and all confusion I helped create. Dennis held my hand until I suddenly realized my situation was not as big of a mess as I thought it would be. I just don't as many hitting monsters as I would have had, but neither does anyone else at the lower cap. Good luck, everyone!
