MLKL Summer Prospect Draft

Luis Robert should also not be available since he signed in May.

Hi Guys, The draft clock will officially start on Monday 7/24 at 10:00 EST. Gives everyone the weekend to do some research.

Please review our prospect rules:

1) There are two prospect drafts each year.
2) The first yearly prospect draft (Rounds 1 & 2) is comprised of two rounds to be held after each year's Spring Free Agent draft.
3) The second yearly prospect draft (Rounds 3 & 4) is comprised of two rounds to be held immediately after each year's Supplemental Free Agent draft.
4) Only players without MLB experience (prior to the MLB season currently being played) and signed by a MLB team prior to the current season's MLB draft are eligible for any prospect draft.
5) The initial prospect draft is serpentine. Draft order for this initial Prospect draft will be the reverse of the draft order for the Initial Free Agent draft. All draft orders will now be determined using the combined records of the two previous seasons played in order from fewest wins to most wins. Tie breakers will be determined based on run differential with the team with the worst run differential winning the tie breaker.
6) Owners lose rights to all prospects that they release. Released prospects are eligible to be drafted as either a) Free Agents if they have MLB experience prior to current MLB season, or b) prospects if they have no MLB experience prior to the current MLB season.
7) The First Round will operate on a 24-hour clock. All owners must check in on the message boards before drafting may commence. All subsequent rounds will operate with a three-hour clock.
8) Individual owners are responsible for their own prospect research.

Since Luis Roberts was signed in May, that makes him eligible as draft is sometime in June. Brendan McKay is still an issue though as he was not "signed", when drafted a few years ago.

So based on current rules, there could be a slightly different set of prospects to draft from between our spring and summer prospect drafts.

Yeah the rule is before the draft, not before the season, that is why Robert is eligible. He signed right before the draft.
