KL Stop the Clock

PostFri Mar 20, 2020 12:18 am

This is a great Community and this year has shown it is true. I have been in Keeper Leagues for years. The 3 Leagues I am in have taken some time to finish and the 4th hasn't even started yet. Little to no complaining this year.

A common goal is a great thing. I think we have that. Let the drafts continue as long as they need to. Longer if they have to.

This game will start and if it takes longer then it will last longer.

Well said. The leagues I'm drafting in now are untimed. I think that's appropriate. One less thing for managers to worry about. Like Mike stated, the drafts will eventually be completed. When doesn't matter.

I would encourage Commishes to turn off the clock for their drafts to reduce the stress on those (I've heard from them) who are affected by the pandemic.

Agreed. I’m in a couple of clock on drafts, and a couple of clock off drafts. All are moving, and nobody is complaining.

Live drafting is the most enjoyable SOM activity for me, so I’ve never understood the hurry to get them finished. And what else do we have to do sports-wise for the next few months?

Stay safe all.

I am sorry that I have been so bad a drafting in the later rounds of my 3 Keeper Leagues. My Sister in Law hit town today after not seeing her in about 5 months. She drives a Semi as I do. I am local and she is over the road. She started about 9 months ago.

My wife's family is very large with a ton of people that I could not give 2 chits about but I love her. Her boyfriend not so much. My parents moved from Pennsylvania after they were married and they moved to the West Coast and started a family. I know very little about being a family until I married at 40 and had my first kid. My 2 brothers and I are polar opposites in a tripod. We hardly ever talk. I enjoyed the visit tonight, every minute even though the boyfriend was here.

During this crisis I have found that leaning on a family is the most incredible strength I have ever experienced and I am grateful for that.

Looks like starting Monday we will be in a lock down State wide as my wife now works from home because her company seen this coming from a mile away and I as my Dispatcher texted me "We are going to remain busy we are providing an essential necessity" I am very grateful that both of us will remain employed. Documentation has been sent to my phone to show the Police that I can get back and forth from work and drive if I am pulled over by the Police.

That being said I just cant comprehend the overwhelming feeling that those that have been shut down and don't know when they will cash their next paycheck. The business that will close forever or those that will lose what they have worked so hard for.

We will get by this crisis but many will lose more than they ever deserved to and my prayers are with you.

Really to just put it in the terms I understand "This is just some really fucked up major shit that no one deserves."

Good Health to you and your Family. I learned just recently that Family is all that matters and if I get nothing else out of this I still have learned a great deal from this.

I wish you all well and hope we all get through this
