Divisional League - Load Teams

PostFri Feb 05, 2016 5:19 pm

Draft Order:

1. FrankM (6)
2. mrharryc (4)
3. JoeyC (1)
4. emart (3)
5. malamutt2002 (5)
6. Musial6 (2)

Also:

1. This league will obviously utilize the DH.
2. I was looking at the relative strength of the divisions and would like to recommend (before we start drafting) that the NL East division can acquire 2 players from the Negro League. Is this okay with the majority of the group?

The Divisions are comprised as follows:

AL East: NY Yankees, Bos Red Sox, Bal Orioles, Tor Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays
AL Central: KC Royals, Min Twins, Cle Indians, Chi White Sox, and Det Tigers
AL West: Oak (Phil) A's, Tex Rangers, Hou Astros, Cal Angels and Sea Mariners

NL East: Atl (Bos/Milw.) Braves, Phi Phillies, NY Mets, Was Nationals and Fla Marlins - also includes WAS db, pre- and post-, and Montreal Expos
NL Central: StL Cardinals, Pit Pirates, Chi Cubs, Mil Brewers and Cin Reds
NL West: LA (Brooklyn) Dodgers, SF (NY) Giants, Ari Diamondbacks, SD Padres and Col Rockies

The AL Central sucks relative to the other divisions also. - Well after a second look, maybe not. They just don't have as many 10+ position players as the other divisions.

Definitely agree on the two NEL players to the NL East, since that's who I'm probably going to get!

And what about some of the pre-1900 players that are iffy as to whether or not they're linked to a franchise.

Sounds reasonable, their pitching is great and they have a plethura of 3b's, but could definately use some help up the middle

Hugh Duffy belongs to the Braves - from Boston Braves (BSB). He is on the BSB roster list.

For any player not directly affiliated (e.g., Barnes is not listed on CHI Cubs db list), with any franchise per the roster lists, I rule that they are open to draft by anyone. This does NOT extend to the NEL players - except for the two players selected by the NL East Manager.

I think that makes 4 Managers (including myself) to agree.

The Manager for the NL East Division will be allowed to include on his roster 2 players from the NEL league.
