ANDY'S 1970s American League 80m Franchise League

PostTue Mar 01, 2022 1:02 pm

ANDY’S 80m 1970s AL FRANCHISE LEAGUE
The 1970s was the era when I fell in love with baseball, so those players and teams are special and nostalgic for me.
This Theme will generally take players active from 1967-1984, with certain additions for team competitiveness reasons. The roster rules will make it slant a little more than normal toward Pitching.
DH, 80m, 12 Seasons. DH because it enables your Starters to pitch longer and enables you to have a stronger lineup.

ROSTERS
Every card for a given player is eligible.
Any Pitcher in the Set of ANY SALARY may be used.
Hitters must have a salary of 7.50m or under, EXCEPT for ONE High-Dollar Player who can have any salary. You do not HAVE to carry a High-Dollar Player, your choice.

WE WILL FOLLOW THE ASSIGNED ROSTERS, but any unassigned player who played for your Franchise is eligible for your draft card. Make sure you check the other rosters when completing your draft card so you won't grab a player who belongs to another roster. If you know of a player carded to more than one franchise, make sure you check rosters to find his assigned spot.

Listed below in this thread are the ROSTERS for each Franchise.
A manager has first rights to AUTODRAFT any player on his listed Roster. They are your exclusive property UNTIL the AUTODRAFT runs.
Once the AUTODRAFT has run, any manager can pick up ANY player who played for your Franchise (whether they played in the 1967-1984 window or not). Wild example: if the Braves do not Autodraft Phil Niekro, the Yankees could pick him up during waivers.

Pick a Stadium Listed with your Franchise.

Not every crossover player (NL to AL or vice versa) is listed on the rosters. Most of the bigger cards like Joe Morgan to the A's are listed, for instance, but not every player, especially scrubs.
Do your Baseball-Reference homework. ;)
