WOW! 58 picks in A New Breed league on Saturday!

WOW! I'm impressed. Days 1 through 4 of the draft, from 9-11 through 9-14, saw a grand total of 58 picks made, an average of 14.5 picks per day. On Saturday, 9-15, there were 58 draft picks made, equaling the number of picks made in the previous 4 days. GREAT JOB GUYS! Way to use those proxies! I don't think we ever had a day with that many picks in any of our previous 3 drafts. Plus, at the risk of jinxing us, in previous drafts we had people get skipped for not picking on time, but we've had no skipped picks in this draft. Keep up the good work! If we have a similar day on Sunday, we could finish the draft. Pick early, pick often, lets get this draft completed.

Also, just a reminder, we are required to select a stadium, in round 16 only, dated during the time period of our draft, from the '80s through the present. It looks like the only stadiums from which to choose are the 2005 stadiums, but there are 30 of them, which should be more than enough.

Draft on!

Tom: Your proxies gave you Tex Hughson and Earl Wilson. As you are surely aware, neither played during the period the 1980s to the present. Please drop them ASAP and repick eligible players. Thanks.

misterg: Please drop Kingdome '78 and repick. It is not eligible, as it is dated prior to the '80s. Per the rules, only stadiums dated 1980 and later are eligible. Thanks. - Bernie

P.S.: I'm somewhat frustrated that after 3 leagues we would have ineligible stadiums picked. As everyone should know, the BP ratings for each stadium change on an annual basis. Compare Wrigley '78 (ineligible) to Wrigley '05 (eligible), for example, to see such. While I understand that Wrigley and the Kingdome existed in the '80s, '90s and '00s, the past practice and the league rules mandate that stadiums be dated consistent with the time period of our league, which is the 1980s to the present, which makes any stadium dated prior to 1980 ineligible, just as any player whose last year played was 1978 would also be ineligible. Close only counts in tiddly winks, horseshoes, atom bomb fights and manure fights.

Come on guys, let's do this right and move on. To those who picked ineleigible stadiums, I strongly suggest that you get an eligible stadium you really want picked ASAP before it is gone.

Have you created the league yet, Bernie? If so, I can't find it.

Bernie, et. al.:

Since I am new to this league, i need to know the secondary draft procedure. I have been in live draft leagues that do things in a variety of ways. Most commonly, the players already drafted have been slotted 1-15 and the other ten 16-25, ranked according to the drafter's preference. The 1-15 are locked in until the waivers begin.

Is that how we are doing it? If not, please let me know so that I can set up my draft.

Thanks.

Hello everyone: Put your Diamond Dope picks at the bottom of your draft card and your ten autodraft picks at the top.

Also, we used the post WWII set for our '70s-'80s league. That set will be used again, since there are no players in our league time period ('80s to the present) who played prior to WWII. Plus, using the post WWII set reduces the chances for error in player selection post waivers and in the free agent pool. If you used the entire ATG6 set when you created your team, you can easily go back and change to the post WWII set with no impact on your autodraft card.

I'll post here when the league is up. It will be a private league. Use the password I sent you in league mail.

Make sure you are in the right division before entering your team.

Good luck.
