I have several clarification questions.

Pre-arb players, are they only allowed to sign a 1 year contract?

Arb 1 and 2 players, do they have to sign a four year contract or can we adjust the years?

Arb 3 players, must their contract be for a minimum of 5 years or can we do less?

2. No. Four years is the contract length.

3. No. A minimum of 5 years is required.

I think I became confused when team nasty wrote he wasn't offering any 4 or 5 year contracts but had amounts next to renewals of arbitration eligible players.

That is correct, you need to resign Alonso or Arraez at their current salaries or release them.
