Golden Era loading---load when ready, SOM will re-order

I probably won't do this but wanted to know if this would be legal. I agree with the BoSox that I won't draft eckersley this round so that he can take him and in return he puts Jim Rice on his first 15 rounds and then trades me Rice for some scrub backup on my team. I would think this is ok but wanted to be sure. I couldn't do this for Fred Lynn as maybe he doesn't get Lynn but some one like Rice who is wholly a Red Sox would be ok.

that never came up, but I would think that would be a NO because part of the trade would take place now "you not drafting Eck" Last league we made it clear that you can't trade your fa draft picks. I know that is not what you're proposing, but it is in the same realm in that it deals with a trade that in some fashion involves the draft picks. All trades must happen after the AD and I think that a part of this "trade" would happen before.

any other opinions on it, please let me know and I'll make an executive ruling....but at this point I'd lean towards saying you can't do it. of course that could be opposite everyone else's opinion so let me know what you all think.

***I also understand that you/or anyone could just not pick Eck and we'd never know, but when you later got Rice for basically nothing it would be brought to light....of course you could not pick Eck, he AD's Rice and then drops him and you pick him up...we'd never know. so I'm asking for everyone to be ethical and have high morals.

***don't read that wrong, I'm not insinuating that your scenario is unethical, in fact it is a logical idea, I am just against it as it goes against the FA draft idea (not picking someone)

All this talking about Eck. I will probably take him this round and he will have a 5.00 ERA like he did last season. I can see where my scenario would be a "no" so I won't worry about trying to work up something like that.

Paul, Marc--I can't find anything close to this league in the Shuffle the Deck list. Am I missing something? Does it have a different name or creator? Or do we simply auto-draft and then create a private league? Thanks for the help.

You'll find the league only when you create your team. When you select your league, you'll have to scroll down until you see golden era 1968-1995. Can't find it if you don't create your team unless you click the link above.
