Nothing like a 3-0 start & then going 1-5!

I think my starting pitching for the most part is way over their head at this point. Boy, it seems like every game there is a new injury..crazy

With a BA of.204, obp of .275, and a slugging of .361, we are giving new meaning to the concept of "small ball"..

Buehler was lifted after 8 innings with a No-Hitter in progress and only 95 pitches. He is checked for Slow Hook. :?

At the start of the inning?

Dale, yeah, seems like a lot of injuries so far.

We got a lucky sweep with three one run games and two wins in our last AB. Sorry Smokey (well, not too sorry ;) )

No 6 inning starter can go 9 anymore with normal-ish settings. (maybe if you have set them to F3 and slow Hook you will get a CG)---I have had at least 3 or 4 no-hitters lifted in 9th this year.

Only the three 7 inning starters (deGrom, Ryu, & Bauer) will be able to pitch a complete game this year--coupled with only two roles for RP--pitching stinks this year--even with expensive staffs. I have no idea what Hal will do with my staff lately, and who gets brought in when, as the roles get used up too quickly or they are tired--and good pitching is getting bombed anyway.

My complete game here was an 8 inning stint that was a loss---so you don't really want a complete game unless it is a 7 inning pitcher.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. They changed that rule (in FTF too) because guys just don't go 9 innings very often. In my FTF league we made an exception for a guy who has a shutout or is throwing a no-no. SOMO should do the same IMHO.

Too early for any ratings of course, but here are some numbers on the salary makeup of the teams. Hopefully I got this right. I haven't doublechecked to see if I have the lineups correct in all cases. Should be close for the East however.

Code: Select all
.......   Linup   Pit.   Bch   SPs..   RPs..   Tot   Cap
Big A..   41.5   35.0   3.5   21.7   13.3   79.96   0.04
Dale...   38.3   33.4   8.2   20.0   13.4   80.00   0.00
Falcon.   42.1   32.6   5.2   20.0   12.6   79.92   0.08
Hawk...   45.5   30.1   4.4   20.1   10.0   79.98   0.02
jeep...   42.5   33.8   3.7   18.8   15.1   79.97   0.03
JTJ....   43.4   30.5   6.0   19.4   11.1   79.93   0.07
KLX....   36.7   35.0   8.3   24.7   10.3   79.99   0.01
Miller.   33.6   40.7   5.8   25.5   15.1   80.00   0.00
Semper.   40.9   34.4   4.6   27.3   7.0   79.86   0.14
Smokey…   43.3   29.6   7.1   15.5   14.1   79.98   0.02
Spider.   41.2   34.1   4.6   25.5   8.6   79.95   0.05
stoney.   40.5   34.5   5.1   23.2   11.2   80.00   0.00
Average   40.8   33.6   5.5   21.8   11.8   79.96   0.04

Hawk has the most $ in the RH lineup, Milleram the least. JTJ and Smokey are also over 43 mil.
Miller has the most in pitching, but Smokey has the least due an expensive bench.
Speaking of expensive benches, KLX and Dale are > 8 Jeep and Big A are 3.7 and 3.5 respectively
Semper is banking on 27.3 mil in SPs while Smoke is at 15 mil
Miller and Jeep are at 15.1 mil in the RPs while Smokey is at 14.1 Semper has only 7 mil in RP, Spider is also < 10 mil in rps (8.6)

Looks like Falcon and Stoney are middle-ish on everything. Their extremes: Stones is 4 in pitching and 9 in lineup, Falcon 5 in lineup and 9 in Pitching and SPs.

Thanks Milleram for that explanation. I had not realized that about the 8 inning max. 8-)

Joe, thanks for those numbers. Interesting & informative. 8-)

I think there is code written for this years cards that mandates at least one player has to be injured each game...
