Here is the Draft Order for the 2017 FA Draft. I have made a separate tab for it on the Google Spreadsheet and will amend it with the MANY trades that have transpired, but here it is in just order of finish.

Does a drafted prospect have to leave your prospect list if they have a MLB appearance, whether they are carded or not?

no. that is your choice. but...they may only stay in "prospect" status for a max of 2 years.

but...in the prospect draft, you can only draft players with no MLB experience.


the rules don't say that when a player gains mlb experience he must be promoted.

I have a few prospect picks I MUST unload. They are a 3rd round, and two fourth round prospect picks. They can be had cheaply. Either a 4th round FA pick in 2018 (!) for all 3 (!!) OR one 2nd round PROSPECT pick in 2018 (!!!)

Michael, I don't believe we can do this deal as it goes against the rule that we cannot trade a draft pick we do not own. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

So at least for now I'm a no-go.

i think you are fine to do it. which pick would you "not own".

the problem may be that you'd end up acquiring too many prospects as we have a max/cap of 6 prospects. in which case you'd have to drop the necessary amount.

I'll let someone else take the deal.
