Hey all - just bumping again for the first post of the new year.
Congrats go out to Qksilver for winning his first USKL II title over MFL. Nice job Dave!
I am also looking to stir up some conversation about the roster rules. The rules state that cuts will be made in February, and the FA draft will be conducted in March. They also stipulate this:
"3. The annual spring Free Agent draft is 15 rounds and is normally done on the live draft website. All managers need to drop enough players so that their pre-draft roster is 25."
I wasn't around for the beginning of this league, so I'm not sure why the rosters were required to cut to 25, but I personally am not in favor of it. I would prefer giving owners the option of keeping up to 30 players, which would also make the draft more manageable. So, my proposal would state the the annual FA draft would be from 10 - 15 rounds and managers would need to drop enough players so that their pre-draft roster is anywhere from 25 - 30. I am going to post the draft order below. Please reply as to whether you are in favor of this proposal. A yes vote would be in favor the roster rules amendment.

Smitty,
Smitty, the rules for this league were actually created to make things easier, beleive it or not. The reason for 15, was to ensure a lot of turnover. with no prospects to protect, KD wanted to ensore that we would have tough choices with our cuts. You'lll alos notice this is a cardred player only draft, which could therefore be held on the diamond dope draft site. I beleive you can exclude the protected players which prevents against drafting guys alreay on rosters.
It's one of the things that makes this league a little different.
