Each of the 12 different drafts will have separate draft clocks, depending on the activity in them -- and for those who've asked outside of the ILC, yes, the clock does not start in any of the position player or pitcher drafts until there have been 12 picks in that particular draft.

The clock in the wildcard draft will not start until the first 10 drafts have been completed and the clock in the stadium draft will not start until all of the other drafts are done.

When each of the different clocks start, they will run from 10AM to 10PM Eastern, 7 days per week

As I posted earlier, let's use our own manual version of the autodraft, to speed things along

* * * * *

3. No draft clock for the first 12 picks in each of the drafts and then a 2-hour clock after that. Rather than just skip a manager who does not pick in those 2 hours, though, I propose that the next highest salaried player be auto-drafted for him at the end of the 2 hours. The talent pools at some of the positions become pretty shallow pretty quickly and it would be a shame to fall too far behind.

4. Likewise, rather than keeping everybody waiting, a manager could also type in "auto" next to his name in one or more drafts. With that, the next guy could process the autodraft choice for him immediately, without having to wait 2 hours.

5. On the other hand, proxies always work well. I work online as a consultant and tend to check a draft site often during the day. I (and several others) would be happy to handle proxies for those who know they may be out-of-pocket for a while.

* * * * *

If the missing manger resurfaces and finds that he does not like the pick auto-selected for him, I'm guessing that it should not be too hard to find a taker at a lower draft position who will swap with him...

Terry101 and Ghost are up. After Terry picks his third basemen, the clock will start for that draft (after 10 am)

Terry101 made his 3rd base pick, so the clock will start in that draft at 10AM Eastern.

BTW, Terry101, please post the time of your picks from now on. It doesn't matter when picking before 10AM like this time, but it will after that. Thanks!

Some of you may be old enough to remember the Ed Sullivan Show on TV and the guest who could keep lots of plates spinning up in the air, at the ends of poles.

Well, get ready, we're about to start a bunch of drafts at once, all spinning with clocks. :shock:

And remember...
