NLD 67 - I Go, You Go, Lu go???

As a possible playoff preview nightmare--my worst stretch of the season I faced the other three playoff teams in succession from games 40 through 48--I went 2-7 and Stoney's team swept me.

Well, I think we've seen in the past that the regular season may, or may not, be the same as the playoffs!

Almost a no-no for Miller in game 4. Fletcher gets a hit with 2 outs in the 9th.

That's tough!

"Tough" is a 1-run loss of 11-10 in Game 5.

Or bullpen giving up 8 runs in the last three innings. So much like the Phillies in the real playoffs this year.

Game 6 was another nail biter. (pun very much intended) After we blew a save allowing two 9th inning runs, we were fortunate to get a run across in the 10th to set up a Game 7 between the hard as advertised Nailers and Accents.

As the home team has won all six games of this series, it means absolutely nothing in this game tonight. Even with me having the best pitching match-up (Miller vs. Lugo) I am nulla fiducia here. You might have to look that up. I did.

Sidenote: I take out Velazquez and Donovan on defense, and it was their two defensive subs that combined to score the game winning run in the 10th. You just never know...
