2023 Pre-Card League Draft #2: COMPLETED

Halfway through.

I have 3 SP's with K rates greater than 10/9 innings. (Snell, Gausman, Sengai)

I have my C, SS, and 2B locked down, hopefully good enough defense to be adequate, and they all should hit better than league average.

I'm thinking that I need to grab some middle of the order pop (maybe some DH types or corner OF) and maybe some bullpen guys.

Overall, I feel like this draft is at least coming together as a cohesive team. The other time through felt very much as though I was just winging it a round at a time.

After going pitching heavy early in League 1 I switched it up. Rounds 1 - 6 in this league I picked hitters. I know what you mean by "winging it" Joseph. I targeted speed guys in both drafts to give myself some semblance of a strategy.

Do the rest of you have a method to your picking madness? How is your league 2 team looking so far?

Well, chat never has been this leagues strong suit lol.

I'm pretty pleased to add Ozuna and Casas for my middle of the order pop.

My game plan for these leagues has always been to filter the stats to show what hitters kill RH's.

That being said, I never do well in these leagues.

Oops.

I made a mistake guys. Apparently I had drafted Kevin Gausman in the other version of this league also, and I took him here.

What is the best course to correct this? I would trade him with someone 1 for 1 for a different (similar) SP. Or there is an available player that I would be willing to just straight swap out the pick, but then anyone else who didn't draft Gausman might have in the interim.

I'm really sorry for the mixup. I found it because I was planning to take Jesus Luzardo next, but I checked and I also drafted Luzardo in the other league. Apparently I have consistent criteria for selecting SP's. Oops.

I would think that you can just switch him for someone available in this league

That would be my take.

If that's the case, I would like Charlie Morton please.
