There is never an issue in trading a current roster player to free up a future pick. If your turn rolls around and you do not have 40 players on your roster, then you can make a pick.

The opposite is not true, though. You can not trade a pick you do not own. If your roster will be full after your 8th pick, then you do not own a 9th pick -- unless you somehow free up more space before that turn comes up.

i COUldn't find it either, I think it was in the other %^&!@ locked post. anyway, I think even if I make this pick, as long as I deal at least one currently carded player before my next pick, I can take it...yes? which would give me another round to get some kind of deal done for nolasco, blevins, brown, or aj ellis.

speaking of which, speak up if you want one of them even for a pick in NEXT year's draft.
