I have to say I'm surprised that Cano lasted so long. Not saying that anyone picked poorly, I just figured someone would take him before GB got his pick.

I'm having fun with a league that started with a frenzy the night the cards were released! We're still not too far into the season. I must say these 2012 cards seem like a lot of fun - somehow seem more fun to me than 2011. There are a lot of very extreme cards in 2012 - like Cano and Posey - which is why I drafted them. I think it will be interesting to see how that works out, with 2 everyday players that are so extremely balanced.

Really looking forward to all the new 2012 leagues, but this team will be fun because of that crazy balance experiment!

I see that the diamond dope cap limit is $80 million. But do we have a cap of $100 million for all 25 players ultimately?

Everything you need to know is in this post from bigmahon, it's an $80 mil cap. The 5 guys to be autodrafted must fit in your $80 mil cap. I think the easiest way to do it is create your team as we go in the SOM site and ignore the diamond dope numbers.

gbrookes, this is a $80m league. I wondered if you were confused about the cap when I saw the total $ for your first 2 rounds. I know you joined us for our 2nd league with the previous cards, so maybe that's why. We typically do 2 leagues per card set; 80m for the first, 100m for the second.
