Question about player availability...players that are on FA list are still property of team that drafted them? If so, what about players on FA list who don't belong to any team? I read the rules,pardon my denseness.

Yes, players that are on FA list are the property of team that drafted them. Those FA that aren't owned by anyone remain unowned. The only players that can play for you are those on your 40 man roster.
