Not true. He's the 5th pitcher in the rotation, they've only had four starters up to start the season because of all the off days Sybdergaard, deGrom, Harvey and Matz. Vargas is out for a few weeks and Lugo and Gsellman are now in the pen, and thriving in that role.

Once Vargas is healthy, THEN he'll likely get sent down.

He looks good. His fate is in his own hands now, as far as being sent down. I'm rooting for "The Five" to actually stay together for a full season.

ON the prospect front, that could not have worked out any better. I was going to take Whitley 4th overall, but the drug thing scared me off him a little, but getting him at 8 (plus another pick) makes it worth the gamble.
