Hi,
We have a dispute over a trade that occurred between hveed and ironwill. Here is how the trade went across in the final stage:
Date of trade: Sunday, April 9, 3:16pm ET
Seward Romos traded: hveed
Lester, Jon ($7,270,000)
Reyes, Jose ($4,050,000)
to Hartford Dark Blues '16 for: ironwill
Koehler, Tom ($750,000)
Contreras, Willson ($5,410,000)
hveed did send me an email after the trade stating that he meant for it to be Matz in the trade instead of Lester. So he is wanting the trade rescinded. And, it's kind of a he said she said deal on how the trade actually went down, one side said there was no other discussion about any trade part of a trade the other side says there was.
So I encourage each side to state their case in the ILC. We will vote on it as a league obviously hveed and ironwill won't be voting. If they can restructure the deal that could be a possible solution too. I will use a modified super majority vote here: it takes 9 out of 12 votes 75% for a super majority to occur, in this case, it will take 8 out of 10 for the trade to be rescinded. Voting will open now and stay open for 48 hours closing on Wednesday 4/13/17 at 8:00 pm EST. A non-vote will be counted to keep the trade in place as is (and is shown above).
Here is how I see some things about this:
1st It's always a good idea to email a trade idea and not just send a trade that can be accepted.
2nd If you do just send the trade idea be sure to check it before you send and after to see if you want to take a trade back after you have already sent it. That can happen after you send a trade if the other guy hasn't accepted it yet.
3rd Because you can dip into the FA pool in this league I kind of see a trade offer as the same thing once someone is out there somebody else may grab onto them. Be it either the FA route or the trade route.
So using what I stated above I will be voting to keep the trade as is. So the voting on this will start tonight and run until Wednesday night 8:00 pm EST. If during that time you see something in the ILC that changes your mind you may change your vote but, at 8:00 pm EST on Wednesday the voting becomes final.
