I think I'm okay in regards to covering that 10th round pick. Even if I trade Hazelbaker and Spangenberg for picks I believe I'll be okay since I earlier dealt my 4th, 5th, and 6th round picks away. I know I also acquired heekin's 4th round FA in the Winker-Nimmo exchange. I wasn't sure if this league required the covering of traded picks is all.

My pick

yes. must have a 10th rd pick, thus you would need an 11th to then fill your roster.

But not if he has 10 or more pick before the 10th round, ie my 4th - his 10th still gives fred 10 picks

no...by you giving him your 4th, his 10 picks would conclude in round 9. Thus he wouldn't have a 10th rd pick and thus couldn't trade it to you (since he doesn't have it). So yes. to be able to trade a 10th rd pick away means you would be drafting in the 11th rd. You can amend the trade to a 9th (or whatever) if you guys want.

Up to fred then, doesn’t matter to me. That said that works differently than every other league I’m in. Basically you have all your picks until the draft starts then at that point you can’t trade picks you don’t have.
That being said I’ll obviously abide by however this league is run

don't think it's ever come up. was just trying to interpret Ghost of Roger Maris written rules. I'm ok with doing it like other leagues as that's what I'm used to as well. I believe that he should have to draft thru 9 and then can trade his 10th. I was just trying to figure out what Ghost had written in the rules.
