Well, I've got three tries to win one game -- 0-1 so far! My team was not very good away from home this season though, so will be doubly hard.

With Valdez pitching tonight for you and being a reverse lefty, it actually hurts more to have Wade injured. LH Power hitter who can hit lefties, vs reverse LHP could've had an impact. Alas, not to be! LOL

Yes, for sure, the injuries *should* have given me a big break and, who knows, maybe you'd have already won it with Judge and Wade... We'll see tonight and, hopefully, tomorrow!

Thank you guys! Certainly some luck involved— Bibee threw 7 perfect innings and JTJ missed 2 bphr 1-10 to keep it at a 2-1 game. Again— it’s a dice game and sometimes you get lucky! But I’ll take it!

Congrats to Joe for a great season. See you in the West next time. I’ve never drafted first or last so it will be a new experience having 6 hours to make picks. Lol

Congrats Randy you have a fine team.

Our inexplicable luck in the playoffs continue. We had the two bphrs you mentioned PLUS a 1-14 (70%) play at the plate in the 8th which would have tied the game. That said, we only got 2 hits in the game so you can't expect to win doing that. Lopez mowed us down for a 1-0 loss in game 3 and Bibee was perfect over 7 in a 2-1 loss. And in game 1 we left a billion on base with no hits RISP, hit into 3 dps and had a CS. In the other loss, we actaully scored some runs, but you scored more. The 4 run 6th was a killer. You rolled everything on your card except for a PB (1-8) and a bpsi 1-2 that you got for a run scoring single.

Look, as you say, it's a dice game and the winning team is going to get a few good rolls. In fact we got an error on Turang in the 8th to give us a chance to win, but then Volpe, who had reached on the error, got thrown out at the plate 1-14. C'est le SOM. It's typical for us in the playoffs and finals to miss the key rolls and we did it again. Very frustrating to say the least. Maybe someday it will change. We've lost 11 straight playoff appearances. BUT we still have 3 more to go to tie Silver with 14 straight losses so it could be worse! Hoping NOT to break that record.

Congrats again on your first NLD Ring!

Thanks Joe. 100% agree on the luck factor. As I have mentioned, my wife (who has played here) does not understand why we all spend so much time analyzing and going through the card chances etc., when "after all, it really is just about luck and who gets the luckiest dice rolls, isn't it?" LOL

But again --- in MLB, Dodgers won 100 last year, 111 the year before, and 106 in 2021 and have squat to show for it!! (I blame Roberts but that's a story for another day!) Luck certainly plays a part I guess in all of it.

It was a fun run! Actually only my second playoffs even here in NLD.

Oh sure, rub it in! You're 50/50 on winning in the playoffs! My record is not nearly as good.

But more seriously, I think you have to get some things go your way in a short series to win it. I did that against KLX, just didn't against you. As to what your wife says, I mean, sure, luck is a factor, but it's not the only factor. You have to put your squad in the best possible position to win and that's why we study this stuff so much.
