Again not trying to overstep, I just haven't seen evidence of akindian even being aware we are drafting at this point.

I got a few drops via email. The roster tab shows them at the bottom.

Guys, obviously with my pick of Alex Torres I didn't re-read the rules for eligibility. I assumed it was ANY MLB experience but rules clearly state PRIOR year.

8. At the start of each TSN carded year, there will be a Free Agent Draft in which the teams will be able to reshuffle and restock their teams with new players. The Players eligible for the Free Agent Draft (and the subsequent Supplemental Draft later in the year) are any player who played in the Major Leagues in the prior season. This includes any hitter with at least one PA any pitcher with at least one batter faced.

If this discussion was before draft started I think we could look at prior cases where we might have done something different and established it as ANY but since we're near the end and some of read the rules I think we need to go by what is there.

I'm open to changing it for future drafts.

Yeah, I had drafted Ryan Vogelsong a couple of years ago after he had spent the year before in Japan. It's no big deal losing Lackey, just would have drafted 2 players that were picked after me if I had known. Guess I should have used better reading comprehension. I read the rule as prior to this season, when it just says prior season. I guess I read what I wanted to read.

Yes F---in' change it, it's a stupid arbitrary rule that I thought was changed/ didn't even exist. see kyle's example above.

Just my 2 cents ;)

Honestly I recommend a vote on whether to apply the "ANY" language to this draft. I think at this point we do more harm than good by retroactively enforcing the exact current wording. I don't think anyone would be seriously harmed by applying the new language now, and I do think it's not fair to Stoney & Kyle given the past vagueness/lack of enforcement.

I only brought it up because I was going to draft Alex Torres last round, noticed he wasn't on the available list, read the rule and omitted him from my list. I have no idea if this has come up before or not. I don't care if we add language to it or not as long as everyone is drafting under the same understanding of the rules--I know other leagues allow anyone with prior experience to be drafted.
