Babe Ruth has put up stunning numbers as a batter in 5 AL round robin seasons -- and his teams have never made it past the semi-finals.

I'm going to use him as an ace pitcher and free up enough cash to have two long-ball hitters replace him in the lineup.

Let's test a new hypothesis...

As many of you know, lumberco has gone missing. Rather than wait for another Friday night deadline to be missed, let's say that the end of the playoffs will be our target date for replacing him, if needed.

We have 4 NL Round-Robin managers who are not in the AL one, so I sent the following PM to:
visick
MEAT
rookssa1958
damien666

* * * * *

Lumberco has been missing from Strat since January 5 and we have been forced to replace him in three leagues, after missing Friday night deadlines. If he does not load his AL Round-Robin team by the time the playoffs end in the middle of next week, then we need to replace him in order to start the AL season 7.

Would any of you guys want to add a DH to your starting lineup?

Guys,
Right now if you still need someone, I'll hop in.

However, I can't commit to finishing out the remaining seasons. Not right now, at least.

That being said, if the other managers want in and can commit, it's fine by me.

AL team rotation doc updated at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... _web#gid=0

Congrats to all of the playoff teams:
tomwistar returning for the 4th time in 6 seasons
gbrookes for the 3rd time
roblatorre and salmonbellies for the 2nd time each

None have won AL titles, though, so we will be crowning a new champ this time around.

Congrats also to Rob and Geoff for setting new franchise win/loss records for Detroit and the West Coast Expansion squad, respectively.

Honorable mention goes to yours truly for tying the season-best record for the Old Yanks -- led by pitcher Babe Ruth, with the 3rd best ERA of all qualified starters!
