Calhoun has 6 GiDPs :o

He needs to get those hips around faster or that infield overshit will kill him.

No matter how good or bad my team is, no matter how hot or cold they are one thing is certain. I will get swept when I play gbrookes.
So we've played 9 games this young season and GB has 6 wins against me already.

Happy thanksgiving to all of you in NLD land!

GB is off to a great start. We need to slow him down in the Central.

Smokey, I appreciate Calhoun's attempt to keep DPs rolling. Unfortunately, he didn't keep it up in games 8 & 9.

Happy Turkey day!

Yes! Happy Thanksgiving to all! I'm thankful the NLD has continued. Not sure NLD37 will be something I'm thankful for as it's been bad so far, but there's a long way to go!

Hope you all had a great day.

Belatedly, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving yesterday, and a good weekend this weekend! :)

I don't want to jinx myself, but I think I've been getting some good die rolls again. I didn't really have a plan when I started the draft, except that I knew I wanted Y. Molina if I could get him. Then I overspent on hitters, which led me to think about drafting cheap pitchers with heavy same-handed (traditional) R-L balance. I dropped Bautista, since I decided to go with singles/doubles/triples instead of the homeruns and walks, and to free up some cash. I've never had a team with so many pitchers under $3M. I'm getting away with it so far, but I don't know if that can last.

Things that won't last

Martin Prado hitting nearly double his OPS

Carlos Gonzalez hitting slightly below his own weight

Skip Schumaker hitting like $5m player

Adam Wainwright pitching worse than a $.5m scrub SP

Chad Gaudin pitching luck last long enough to win 20 games

Hopefully most of my injuries are behind me and my backup catcher won't be playing CF anymore (you heard that right). I need to go on a run badly right about now.
