What happens if you promote a player and then they get sent back down to minors or even released? Still sorting my cuts but looking to promote at least one player...and a dumb question..asking only because he is listed with the prospects..do i have to promote Walker Buehler? meaning..he isn't already part of this teams active roster? It wont be difficult making cuts or promoting with this team but I gotta ask.

Once you've promoted a player, he's on your 30-man irrespective of what happens to him in real life (until you cut or trade him, that is).

Yes, you have to promote Walker Buehler because as you can see on the league spreadsheet he's a '17 prospect and thus wasn't already on your active roster. You have to make promote/cut decisions on all of your '17 prospects.
