I have loaded my team, to get the league started. I will withdraw it as soon as another team is loaded and then later return as the 12th team, when we are ready to start the season for this league.

I'm good with the latest proposed rules. $200/$50/$25 and the scoring system.

But I just want to get clarification on one thing- there is now no limit on individual salary in the lower leagues, correct? The 50 mil cap will certainly limit the number of upper level players in the minors but there would still be room for 1 or 2 guys who don't belong in the minors. (For example, my minor league team is currently at 45 million. Is there anything stopping me from sending Ike Davis up and dropping Brandon Moss down? I'd be just under $50mil so would that be a violation or not? I'm not saying I want to do this, I just want to be clear on the rules before we start playing just in case anyone finds himself wanting to make a move along these lines at some point.)

Also, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to end up with 36 pitchers, which means I'd have to carry 12 pitchers on my major league team since the per team limit is 12 pitchers. I wouldn't be able to have 28 on my instructional league team since I don't have enough hitters. I think this comes from drafting a pitcher in the first round of the wild card draft and getting one of the extra picks in the last round of the wild card draft. I believe Willmurr is in the same boat. Actually it looks like he's going to end up with 37 pitchers so he's worse off than me. We're probably going to have to make some adjustments to the last couple of wild card picks that have already happened. Or, I guess all of that is to say that if anyone wants my last wild card pick, (the least desirable pitcher in the whole set,) you're welcome to it.

I think it would be unfortunate if someone tried to skew the results like that, but I favor simple solutions like salary caps rather than complex lists of rules that everyone needs to think about all the time.

Yes, 4 of us will have 79 players, instead of 78.I'd be willing to trade with you, but I'm already going to have 35 pitchers.

Your best bet would probably be to offer a 2-for-1 trade to one of the 8 managers who only has 78 players. If you offered a decent minor league pitcher plus a decent minor league hitter in exchange for a lesser hitter, then I bet you could make a deal!

I'll take that last pick. It looks like my earlier projection showed one more pitcher than I was going to get. I'll carry an extra on my minors squad.

I share your concern, but still think that the more complicated the rules, the less likely they will be followed.

How about if we add a simple rule to block ringers from being in the lower leagues? Something like...
...Max $3.50 salary for any player in Minors
...Max $2.00 salary for any player in Instructional league

Earlier you had proposed minors with no more than $4.5 mil and no more than 3 over $3.5 mil and instructional with no more the $3.0 mil and no more than 3 over $2.0 mil.

Staying with those limitations along with the $50 and $25 mil ceilings makes sense to me. Owners may have been working within that framework. In my case, I will have one minors player (Ramirez $3.57) and one instructional (Johnson $2.04) above the newer proposed max.

That was from Terry101, not me -- but I guess I could live with that if others wanted it.
