nlD 53 - The "Big D" League

Despite losing 2 of 3, I squeezed it out somehow, a 1 game edge over Spider and Joe both. Kept my consecutive PO streak going.

Rats!!! Ryu was shelled again - in game 162 - to finish one behind Jeep. Ryu was 2-2 for the season, vs. the Phanatics - but was knocked out early in 3 of his 5 starts vs. them.

We would have won the tie-breaker - at least against Stoney. If Joe had swept, it would have been a different story. -

This was another great NLD league season. Congrats to the playoff teams.

Yup, another close NLD race. If either Spider or I had gotten one more win against Jeep, we're in the playoffs instead.

Oh well, my not making the playoffs streak continues I think we've finished 1 spot out 3-4 times in the past 9 leagues. Something like that.

As I might have mentioned, our pen just killed us. Hudson had 18 saves and 15 BS. The thing that I didn't mention much, but probably killed me even more was BPHRs. I had more bphrs rolled, but had fewer HRs and it wasn't even CLOSE. Our opponents went 71-145 right on our average park HR of 49%. Our rolls? Ugh. 59-158 37%! If we would have hit the average of our average parks, we're looking at 77 Hrs or 18 more. Gotta think that might have gotten me in the playoffs.

Oh well, it's all in the dice as they say.

Wow, Joey Votto hits 3 hrs to get Naples to the finals? Really? 1-8,1-11, 1-13 all flyout the rest and he got every one. Semper's offensive luck continues. He also got 1-12 HRs in the 9th and 10th to win game 6.

Then in game 7 he got 3 straight SSx against Correa (2e5) and got ALL THREE. Then to cap the inning a 1-11 LFx (yeah, he is a 4, but still, it's a 50/50 play) to score two more. Repeat after me...."It's all in the dice, it's all in the dice...."

Yeesh. Watch out Stoney, someone is VERY hot.

Gotta say I thought Semper would have to do it with SPs and D, but somehow he managed to score a lot of runs. Congrats Semp!
