Only those players who were issued SOM cards this year (2008 for 2007 season) and appear on TSN's website are eligible for the initial draft. For future seasons, any player who had a MLB regular season appearance prior to opening day of the current MLB season will be eligible. Players drafted in the spring draft must be on the 40 man roster even
if they did not receive a card
