I am going camping with the family; thus I won't even have a computer let alone Internet access. Totally out of pocket.
Leaving Saturday morning, returning Monday night. I likely won't have the time to check in until Tuesday night.

OK. Bill. If we don't start the player draft until Tuesday 9/4, considering that the draft will be 14 rounds, I will then have a conflict beginning on 9/8. I'm leaving the country for a week, returning on 9/14, and I'm not sure what kind of access (or time) I will have.

We have two options:

1. begin the player draft NOW and when the absences happen, the draft just pauses;

2. WAIT and start the player draft on 9/14.

The second issue to resolve is the draft order. The constitution spells out that the player draft order will be established by overall winning percentage of SBDL career, worst to first.

The primary issue here is that I can't guarantee that we have all the information available for past seasons to calculate the winning percentages correctly. Second, we have a couple of new (or newer) players who have only a season or two under their belts, and I'm not sure creating a draft order using this formula (if we can) will be fair those individuals or to the entire group.

A couple of suggestions/alternatives:
a) Randomize the draft order
b) Use the last two seasons (24 & 25) and compute winning percentages based on those seasons only.

Thoughts?

I would vote for a start now and pause when needed draft.

Draft order....make it easy- last 2 seasons seems simple enough or even just the last season. Random would be fine with me as well.

Starting and pausing is fine with me.
I think if we want to keep with the concept of alignment by win pct, then we just use seasons 24 and 25.

Just got off the phone with Larry (Bunze0) and he's in agreement with me. Use the winning percentage for the last two season to determine draft order and divisions. And let's get this thing started pausing for those that are camping, out of the country or whatever else might come up with others of the group.

I am fine with whatever for draft order. If you don't want to decide on the two options, maybe get someone to do a randomizer to decide which way to go(ie......if 1 comes up first we do it random and if 2 comes up first we use the last two seasons). I think the sooner we start the better and pause as needed.
