NLD 42 - Are those guys still around?

Well, our hitting wasn't a problem tonight, but our pen gave up 4 runs across the 8th and 9th in game one to blow that one.

Scored 12 in game 2 and held on for a 12-8 win.

Going to be tougher in his park against Lester and Cueto with Duffey and Anderson matching up. We split the season series in his park, but with a Kershaw/Gallardo match up looming for game 5, we'd REALLY like to take them both! Of course, I guess beggars can't be choosers.

Lost Smolinski until game 7. That hurts a little with 3 LHSP going for Semper in those 4

No sign of Semper checking in, that's weird.

Wow, two very close games tonight and we managed to somehow win them both. Semper missed a big 1-12 BPHR in the first game.

However, we know better than to rest on our laurels, Semper already came back from one 3-1 deficit!

Next game is our worst match up of the series, Kershaw against Gallardo. Just hoping to get the bullpen into the game at the first sign of trouble!

Ugh, too much Kershaw in game 5. Gallardo did his job, kept us in it until Chafin could arrive, but just couldn't bring in any runs.

Back-to-back HRs from Schwarber and Vogt was all he needed.

Well, we have our ace, Degrom, going in game six, back at home so I'm hoping game 7 is not needed!

Woo Hoo! Finally won another ring! I'd gone 9 playoff appearances in 17 seasons (both NLD and AD) including five NLD appearances, without getting over the hump. It feels good to finally get 'er done.

Degrom was very good for us and Keuchel was good for him, we just managed to bunch our hits in a couple of innings to score some runs (a WP 1-9 didn't hurt either!)

Semper and I had a lot of close games both in this series and during the season. We had to get few things to go our way to come out on top.

I guess we should talk about getting the next NLD started also. Who's in?
