It's an emotional day in Brooklyn as the Cyclones franchise bids farewell to Evan Longoria, the team's inaugural draft pick and longtime leader. Longoria served as a cornerstone at the hot corner for many a great Cyclones team, but unfortunately was never able to lift a championship trophy. Surely his jersey will one day hang in Camden Yards... but until then, we wish him well wherever the remainder of his career takes him.
At the same time, those progressive folks in the Brooklyn front office are outraged that they have been ordered to engage in blatant service-time manipulation by consigning star prospect Victor Robles to the minors for another year. Everyone in the organization knows that Robles is ready for the big leagues, but they will unfortunately have to pretend otherwise for the time being. Your time will come soon enough, Victor!
