Good Stuff Fellas!

We have 12 of the next 15 on the road before finishing with six at home. We have a 5 game lead, but this will be a daunting stretch for sure.

Hawk swept us to tie for the lead - and lost Barnhart for the next nine games. Am tempted to bring Garneau for the stretch run, but think I'll hold onto Barnhart and hope Stoney doesn't edge me out for the playoffs. :?

Definitely coming down to the wire. We were lucky enough to win two in stoneys park tonight.had a huge comeback in one game.

There are only five teams over 500 so it would appear that the playoff teams will come from them. Semper looks like a lock. so the other three teams will come from the other two divisions baring an big run or collapse by Someone

166 injury days - so far. This may be a personal record. I expect to have to sit Walker. Luck has still been on my side for most of the season Hope to hold on for the playoffs. :?:

Not complaining since I won the game, but - here's one I've never seen. HAL starts Flynn, who is not rated to start, and he goes 6 innings giving up 3 hits and 1 walk.

I have six potential starters. Any explanations?

The only thing I can think of is maybe you're setting all the starts and had Martinez and Pomeranz in the games after Flynn's so Hal didn't move them?

Holy Cow! Check out this game. It's a good thing we got our 2 point conversion to hold on to a 22-20 win in 14 innings! Note, this game was NOT in Coors.

http://365.strat-o-matic.com/game/433041/902

We got ahead 9-0 but Stoney scored 8 in the bottom of the sixth and 1 in the 8th to tie. We grabbed an 11-9 lead in the top of the 9th on a Pina 2 run HR, but Rojas got a 2 run single to tie again.

Crazily enough, we got FIVE runs in the top of the 13th with the help of three straight 3bx's that resulted in Error, Error, single and an Error! :o only to see Stones get five of his own in the bottom of the inning and left the bases loaded despite having two chances to get one more run. In case you were wondering, Aoki was moved to 3b for some crazy reason.

In the 14th, we plated six runs with the help of back-to-back-to-back 2bs by Rizzo, Arcia and Cano, but Stones wasn't done yet! He scored four runs and had the tying run at the plate before Nieuwenhuis missed a bp si (1-13) to end the game!

For those of you who ran out of fingers the two teams scored a combined 20 runs in the 13th and 14th innings! Stoney had 31 hits, we had 23, but he made five errors with Martinez also committing an error playing out of position at 1b.

With our series win, we have clinched the West and hold a four game lead for the HF advantage. We do not have tiebreaker with either Hawk. Or Semper for that matter. In fact, out of the four other teams in the playoff hunt, we are .500 with only Spider and have the tiebreaker (I think) based on run differential. Hawk has been particularly tough on us going 10-2 against my squad. We're 4-5 with Semp and 10-11 with Stones. This team has been pretty darn lucky I would say, we're 10 over our Pythag for example.

Theoretically Big A or Doug or Jeep (they are in a three-way tie!) could catch Semp, but it's not likely to see 9 losses/wins by two teams.

Hawk and Spider are likely to take the Central and the WC, but Stones has a chance for the WC trailing by six with 9 to play. He does have the tiebreaker with Spider, but I'm not sure about Hawk as they are 6-6.

Spider, did you see the note from SOM about the SPs for Friday? I wonder if that's what caused Flynn to pitch on Sunday?

For us, Roark pitched on one day of rest. Not sure how that will affect the playoffs. Two rest days before the playoffs start right?

I've seen the string started by Jeep. It was a very strange night for SOM - it would be nice to see a comment from them.

JTJ, as you indicated, it looks like the final four is close to set, but Stones could get a hot hand and either Hawk or my bundh could sputter during the final 9 games.

That was some weird game with you and Stones. I usually watch my games and my have thrown my laptop in that one!!
